South Perth is located in the City of South Perth, 3 kilometres south of Perth on the south shore
of Perth Water on the Swan River.
The area has a resident population of about 11,300 and covers 5.2 square kilometres.
It is bounded to the north and the west by the Swan River, with the Kwinana Freeway also on the west adjacent to the river foreshore. Canning Highway is located to the south east of the area.
Perth Zoo is located within the area and provides an ideal day's entertainment. Also, many cafes and restaurants are located nearby on Mends Street, which is located immediately to the south of the river, near the Mends Street Jetty.
