Roleystone is located in the City of Armadale, 30 kilometres south east of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 6000, and covers 12.2 square kilometres. Development of the area initially commenced in the early years of the 20th century.

It is located on the Darling Scarp to the north of the Brookton Highway, about 5 kilometres east of the Albany Highway in Kelmscot. The area is surrounded by regional parks and nature reserves.
