Quairading is located 166 kilometres east of Perth, and the area has a resident population of about 1200.
The major industries in the area are the raising of sheep and beef cattle, plus grain growing.
An airstrip is located near the town. Plus, a hotel, motel and caravan park, a library, a public swimming pool, a sports ground, shops and various other facilities are located within the town.
The town has a Farmers Cooperative which consists of 900 local community shareholders and employs 30 staff who provide services to the local community.
The Quairading Show is organised and operated each year in mid September by the Quairading & Districts Agricultural Society.
