Port Kennedy is located in the City of Rockingham, 55 kilometres south of Perth.
The area has a resident population of about 13,000 and covers 23 square kilometres.
It is located on Warnbro Sound to the south of Rockingham and to the north of Mandurah.
A large foreshore park is located to the west of the townsite, and Lake Walyungup is located immediately to the east and the Kwinana Freeway is located further to the east.
