Nowergup is located in the City if Wanneroo, 40 kilometres north of Perth.
The area has a resident population of about 200, and covers 40 square kilometres.
The area is bordered by the proposed Mitchell Freeway to the west, Pinjar Road to the east, Hester Avenue and Wattle Avenue to the south and Romeo Road/Karoborup Road to the north.
It is an agricultural area, containing many market gardens and plant nurseries, plus the Ocean View Tavern and the Nowergup Lake wetland and fauna sanctuary. The western portion of the area is located between Wanneroo Road and the Mitchell Freeway reserve, and includes the northern section of the Neerabup National Park.
The Indian Ocean is located about three kilometres to the west at Alkimos. The Pinjar Pine Plantation and Lake Pinjar are located to the east.
