Noranda is located in the City of Swan and the City of Bayswater, 12 kilometres north east of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 8,200 and covers 5 square kilometres.

The Lightning Swamp Bushland Reserve is located within the area, as are several public parks. The Reid Highway forms the border to the north, Tonkin Highway to the east, Morley Drive to the south and Alexander Drive to the west.

The Malaga light industrial area is located immediately to the north of the Reid Highway.
