Mullaloo is located in the City of Joondalup, 25 kilometres north of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 5,900 and covers 3.1 square kilometres. Development initially commenced during the late 1950s and continued up to the 1990s.

It is an oceanside location with one of the most popular metropolitan beaches in the city. The local surf life saving club patrols 4.5 km of beach between Pinnaroo Point and Whitfords Point, from September to April.

Tom Simpson Park, located near to the surf life saving club is very popular with locals, especially during the summer months.
