Moora is located 177 kilometres north of Perth in the Wheatbelt region.

It is the largest town between Geraldton and Perth, providing services such as a school, banking, pharmacy, dentist, doctors and a district hospital.

The town is located at an elevation of 203 metres above sea level, and services rural activities including growing wheat, barley, canola, oaten hay and lupins. Plus, raising sheep, cattle and pigs.

The Moora Agricultural Show is held each year in mid September and includes a full equestrian program, fire works, fashion parade, entertainment and exhibits. Visit the Moora Agricultural Show website for more information.

The Moora Cup Race Day is one of the biggest events in town and is held each year during October. The town also hosts a speedway at Easter.

Various tourist attractions can be found around the Moora district, ranging from the Western Wildflower Farm to the abundance of hand-painted murals and the Moora Town Clock. The town is a popular stopover for tourist’s traveling to holiday destinations or following the wildflower trail.

A silica mine is located 15 km north of the town.
