Midvale is located in the City of Swan, 16 kilometres north east of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 1500, and covers 3.6 square kilometres. Development of the area initially commenced in the early 1950s.

The Great Eastern Highway forms the southern boundary of the area, while the Roe Highway forms the eastern boundary, and Lloyde Street forms the western boundary. Swan TAFE Midland Campus and the Midland Sports Complex are each located within the area to the north, and Midland Gate Shopping Centre is located immediately to the west
