Medina is located in the Town of Kwinana, 30 kilometres south of Perth.
The area has a resident population of about 2000, and covers 3.6 square kilometres. Development of the area commenced during the 1950s.
Thomas Road forms the area boundary to the north, while Gilmore Avenue forms the eastern boundary. Kwinana Golf Club is located immediately to the south west, and the Indian Ocean is about 6 kilometres to the south west at Kwinana Beach. The Kwinana industrial are in about 3 kilometres to the west on Patterson Road.
