Although large fauna such as Kangaroos remain in the park, significant populations of smaller marsupials have been decimated by introduced species.
Drought and dieback disease have also affected the jarrah forest within the park, and at the edges of the park, introduced species of weed and other vegetation threaten the park's integrity.
