Guildford is located in the City of Swan, 13 kilometres north east of Perth.
The area has a resident population of about 2000. Development initially commenced in the 19th centuary, and the area played an important role in the early years of the colony.
The Swan River forms the nothern and western boundary. The Great Eastern Highway runs through the area and the Great Eastern Highway Bypass runs to the south directing heavy traffic away from the town centre. The eastern boundry of the area is formed by the north south rail line.
The Helena River runs through the area from the east and joins the Swan River at a point downstream of the Guildford Bridge. Also, Rosehill Public Golf Course is located to the south west of the area.
Lots of public open space exists within the area, especially along the banks and within the reserves of the Swan River and the Helena River.
