Glendalough is located in the City of Stirling, 6 kilometres north east of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 3000 and covers approximately 1 square kilometre.

It is located immediately to the east of Herdsman Lake and also immediately to the south of the huge Osborne Park commercial area.

The Michell Freeway cuts through the area from north to south. Lake Monger is located immediately to the south east, with Wembley located to the south west.

The area contains a number of public parks. Plus, a rail station services the area located on the northern metropolitan line from Perth to Joondalup.
