Forrestfield
Forrestfield is located in the Shire of Kalamunda at the base of the Darling Scarp 15 kilometres south east of Perth.
The area has a resident population of about 11,500.
The Roe Highway cuts through the area and divides it into a southern residential area and a northern industrial area. The main rail yard in the metropolitan region is located within the industrial area and is surrounded by major warehouses, where goods from the eastern states are received and distributed to locations throughout the state.
Also, Kewdale Freight Terminal is located to the north west, beyond the intersection of the Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway.
Hartfield Park Recreation Centre and Golf Course are located within the south west of the area. The facility includes an indoor stadium, plus playing fields for cricket, rugby, Australian rules football, hockey and soccer. Also, an 18 hole golf course, an equestrian centre and supporting facilities for each of the activities. A nature conservation park and a lake are also located nearby.
Tonkin Highway is located to the south west, and Mundy Regional Park is located to the east.
