Duncraig is located in the City of Joondalup, 16 kilometres north of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 15,500, and covers an area of 7.8 square kilometres. Development of the area commenced in the late 1960s, and continued through the 1970s. The area is almost exclusively residential, apart from a couple of small shopping precincts plus several small public parks and bushland areas.

Beach Road forms the southern boundary, the Mitchell Freeway is located to the east, Hepburn Avenue to the north and Marmion Avenue to the west. Warwick Road runs east to west through the the area.

Percy Doyle Reserve which contains a library and recreation centre is located to the east, and contains a multipurpose sports complex with several football fields and soccer pitches, plus lawn bowl greens and more than 20 tennis courts.
