Dumbleyung is a small town located in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 267 kilometres south-east of Perth.

The town is a service centre with post office, school, tavern, public library, caravan park and other facilities. During November each year the town hosts the Bluebird Festival which attracts many visitors to the town.

The Dumbleyung Bluebird Festival is held in the town each year during early April.

On New Years Eve 1964, following an especially wet winter which filled Lake Dumbleyung to overflowing, Donald Campbell set a new world water speed record when he raced his boat Bluebird across the lake at a speed of 444.66 km/h (276.3 mph). Making him the fastest man on both land and water.

A memorial to Donald Campbell's achievements is located near the lake's shoreline at Pussy Cat Hill. The hill provides excellent views across the lake and is signposted 'Scenic Drive - Lake Dumbleyung' on the road between Dumbleyung and Wagin.

Lake Dumbleyung is the largest natural body of inland water in Western Australia at 13 km long and 6.5 km wide, with a catchment area that extends approximately 55 km east towards Tarin Rock, 64 km north towards Kulin and 64 km south towards Narrangerup.
