Green in winter and golden in summer, Dowerin is located 156 kilometres north-east of Perth in the central Wheatbelt region of the state.

The Dowerin GWN Field Days, is a two day annual event held on the last Wednesday and Thursday of August showcasing agricultural and associated equipment, plus providing information and services to visitors from rural areas. Visit the Dowerin GWN Field Days website for more information.

The Field Days attracts an average of 600 exhibitors and more than 15,000 visitors on each day of the show, making it the largest Agricultural Machinery Field Day of its kind in the state.

An average of 45,000 tourists visit the Shire each year, which is an amazing achievement for a community of Dowerin’s small size with a population of approximately 700 residents.

The Dowerin Car Club was established during the 1920's in the heyday of early motorsport and caters for all marques. Existing members own a broad range of vehicles including a Triumph Herald, several Fords and Japanese models, plus tractors and trucks. New members are welcome, with membership available to everyone and not limited only to local residents. Visit the Dowerin Car Club website for more information.
