Doubleview is located in the City of Stirling, 10 kilometres north of Perth.

The area has a resident population of about 7200, covers 2.6 square kilometres and has an elevation that ranges between 12 metres and 77 metres above sea level. It is named for its views of the Indian Ocean to the west and the Darling Range to the east.

It is mostly a residential area, through which the busy Scarborough Beach Road runs from east to west.

The Indian Ocean and Scarborough Beach are located about 3 kilometres to the west, while the large Osbourne Park commercial area is located about 2 kilometres to the east. The Mitchel Freeway and northern commuter rail line which each connect to Perth are located nearby to the west, and a number of public parks can be found within the area.
