The town of Denmark WA is located on the Denmark River 423 kilometres south-south-east of Perth and 53 kilometres east of Albany.

The old wooden bridge over the Denmark River which flows into Wilson Inlet is seasonally connected to the Southern Ocean. The presence of native vegetation within the town provides a picturesque appearance, and some old buildings located within the town such as the wooden Anglican Church date from the early pioneering era.

The oldest still existing building is located on Strickland Street in the centre of town and the Denmark Historical Museum provides a rich source of information about the town and its history.

There appears to be an art magnet in Denmark, judging by the number and quality of artisans and galleries located within the area. Here you can find creative artists who work in just about any medium you can imagine!

Denmark is a popular tourist destination, with its pristine beaches, walk trails, landscape, trees, wildflowers and the National Parks. The Tree Top Walk located in the Valley of the Giants near Nornalup enables visitors to fully experince the magnificent Karri Forest.
