Dalwallinu is located 248 kilometres north east of Perth.

The town, which is located in the Wheatbelt region is accessed via the Great Northern Highway. The primary economic activities in the area are agriculture and the town is a base for supporting industries.

Located at an elevation of 335 metres above sea level, Dalwallinu is a pleasant country town with a resident population of approximately 600. It is the first town located along the Wildflower Way, which stretches north from the town to Mullewa.

The Dalwallinu Show, organised by the Dalwallinu and Districts Agricultural Society takes place each year during late August at the Showgrounds on Myers Street.

On entering the town, visitors cannot help but notice the ancient pieces of agricultural machinery which are displayed like artistic sculptures along the main street. The town is also recognised for its beautiful wattle trees, which are celebrated in Wattle Week held during September.

The local caravan park is located on Dowie Street and provides travellers with excellent accommodation on large shady sites, and a wide range of services.
