Cunderdin

Cunderdin is a town located in the Wheatbelt region 156 kilometres east of Perth, on the Great Eastern Highway.

The economy of the area is primarily agricultural. An agricultural college is located 3 km north of the town, which is one of six campuses of the Western Australia College of Agriculture. Produce in the area consists mostly of wheat, lupins, canola and livestock.

An airstrip is located close to the town and was constructed during the Second World War for the RAAF flying school and as a bomber base. The Gliding Club of WA operates from the airstrip.

The Cunderdin Municipal Museum contains a collection of antiques, relics and vintage machinery obtained from the surrounding area. The museum is housed in the original pump station, which is a magnificent building with a tall chimney that is visible from miles around.
