Carine is located within the City of Stirling, 14 Kilometres north of Perth.

The area has a population of about 6500 and covers and area of 4.7 square kilometres.

It is bordered by Beach Road to the north, Mitchell Freeway to the east, North Beach Road to the south and Marmion Avenue to the west. The huge Carine Regional Open Space is located between Duffy and Monyash Roads and Okely Road, and covers about one-third of the area. Reid Highway runs through the southern part of the area, and connects to the Mitchell Freeway.

The Carine Glades shopping centre is located on the northern border of the area, plus Karrinyup Shopping Centre and Centro Warwick are within easy reach and Lake Karrinyup Country Club is located nearby to the south.

Warwick Railway Station is located in the north eastern corner of the area, where the rail line provides services to Perth.
