Calista is located in the town of Kwinana, 38 Kilometres south of Perth.
The area has a population of about 1800 and is located close the the Kwinana town centre on Gilmore Avenue. Kwinana Golf Club is located immediately to the west and the Kwinana Hub immediately to the east, with Welleard Road located to the south.
Calista Oval and Rhodes park are located within the community. The area is mostly residential and includes a number of retirement villages and a school. Plus, a commercial area is located to the north of the golf course.
