Bibra Lake is located in the City of Cockburn, 20 kilometres south of Perth.

The lake after which the area is named is part of the Beeliar Regional Park, which covers a substantial part of the area.

Those part of the area that are not part of the Beeliar Regional Park are either residential or are occupied by light industry. The area has a resident population of about 6,000, and several recreation facilities including Adventure World theme park are located nearby.

The Roe Highway reservation borders the area to the north, Stock Road to the west, the Kwinana Freeway to the east and the railway rail line to the south. Also, Roe Highway commences immediately to the east of the area.

Murdoch University main campus, plus a campus of Challenger TAFE college are each located nearby to the north of the area.
